William H. Schmidt is a University Distinguished Professor, founder and director of the Center for the Study of Curriculum, and director of the Education Policy Center at Michigan State University. His most recent book, coauthored with Curtis McKnight, is Inequality for All: The Challenge of Unequal Opportunity in American Schools (Teachers College Press, 2012).
